I was born into a bi-cultural (Ukrainian-American) family of artists, photographers, digital filmmakers, professors, chefs and librarians in Rochester, NY.

With posssssibly too many different interests, I got my BA double majoring in Fine Arts and Economics from St. Lawrence University with a summer of study in St. Petersburg, Russia and a semester in London.

I've taught English in South Korea, worked a congressional campaign, been a wedding photographer, an after-school arts counselor, a mall Easter Bunny, an employee/volunteer of the George Eastman Museum for 10 years, and volunteer at the non-profit Rochester Contemporary Art Gallery for 10 years.

I recently realized that ye-olde-lifelong-aspiration-of-creating-compelling-picture-books hasn't yet happened, so me thoughtest... it's about timeth!

A member of SCBWI and our local Rochester RACWI chapter.

I'm most drawn (hehe) to projects with a sense of humor,  progressive social or environmental messages, and a full emotional experience.
